Wine Tasting and Coastal Village Tour Schedule

1. Departure from Athens

Commence the journey from Athens, driving along the coastal National Highway.

2. Corinth Canal Stop

Make a short stop at the Corinth Canal to admire this engineering marvel.

  • Remaining colossal columns of the Temple of Olympian Zeus, dedicated to the king of the Olympian Gods.
  • The monumental gateway Arch of Hadrian.
  • The Panathenaic Stadium (Kallimarmaro), the site of the first Olympic Games in 1896.

3. Drive to Nemea

Continue the journey through beautiful countryside until reaching Nemea. Nemea is renowned for being the most important region for red wine production, particularly the Agiorgitiko grape.

4. Wine Tasting Experience

Explore the ancient tradition of food and wine that originated nearly 4000 years ago in Greece.
Learn about the Agiorgitiko grape, stained by the blood of the lion slain by Hercules, giving the wine its deep red color. Visit two renowned Greek vineyards known for producing some of Europe’s best wines.
Receive a warm welcome from the vineyard owners, and English-speaking staff will guide you through the vineyards and wineries. Enjoy wine tastings paired with a selection of local cheeses and crackers.

5. Coastal Village Visit – Korfos

Drive 40 minutes away from Nemea to the picturesque seaside village of Korfos. Explore the pure and timeless beauty of Korfos, untouched by time. Enjoy a delightful meal in a traditional tavern, prepared by an authentic Greek yiayia (grandmother). Experience the unique setting so close to the water that the waves can touch your feet.

6. Return to Athens

Conclude the tour and drive back to Athens.
